Bandipora (Jammu and Kashmir): The Indian Army launched a multi-pronged campaign to reach out to people in remote and rural areas of Jammu and Kashmir and distributed protective kits including masks, sanitizers, gloves and other hygiene items among the needy families in Bandipora.
As part of the campaign 14th Regiment of the Indian Army provided pamphlets, masks, sanitizers to put an end to COVID-19.
Army also conducted door to door campaign to create awareness about the deadly disease and the precautions to be taken in order to avoid getting infected.
"This is a small contribution in the massive efforts being taken by the Jammu and Kashmir government. I am well aware of the fact that our fight against COVID-19 is not over and I have contributed a little bit to the efforts of the government," an army officer said.

"This humble offer of partnership may be a drop in the ocean, but in this critical time we must all come forward and help in any way we can. We are concerned about protecting our families, health workers and others from the threat posed by the pandemic that is spreading around the world. We are fighting the COVID-19", he added. I have launched a multi-pronged campaign to educate and help people in different areas, mostly remote areas.
Earlier, Indian army carried out a number of similar operations at various other places in the state including Rajouri.
At present the number of cases in Jammu and Kashmir stand at 7093 with 2683 active cases , 4316 cured/ discharged cases and 94 deaths.
