Srinagar: Asserting that the History is irreversible, Governor Satya Pal Malik on Friday said that people of Jammu and Kashmir can get whatever they need and they must have the will to attain it.
According to reports, Malik was referring indirectly to the decision to modify provisions if Article 370, which took away special rights of people of Jammu and Kashmir.
He had earlier claimed that the region's identity is not been tampered with in any manner.
Governor Satya Pal Malik had earlier launched a market intervention scheme with an aim to provide an optimum price to apple growers on Thursday, as the state is facing huge economic crisis amidst the clampdown.
He stressed the need for farming communities to become aware of their rights and strengthen themselves so as not to get exploited by market forces, causing farmers to suffer losses.
Malik expressed gratitude to Union Home Minister Amit Shah for launching the initiative to help apple growers and sought stakeholders' cooperation in making the scheme a success.
Farooq Khan, the advisor to the governor, described the launch of the scheme as a momentous occasion for apple growers which will assure them of minimum support price.
