Civilian succumbs to injuries after being shot by unknown gunmen in Kulgam

A civilian who was shot at by suspected militants in the Kakran area of South Kashmir's Kulgam district on Wednesday evening succumbed to his injuries. Security forces have cordoned off the area and searches have been launched to nab the attackers.

Srinagar (J&K): A civilian who was shot at by suspected militants in the Kakran area of South Kashmir's Kulgam district on Wednesday evening succumbed to his injuries, police officials said.

"Civilian Satish Kumar Singh, a resident of Kulgam, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Terrorists involved in this gruesome terror crime will be neutralised soon. Search to track the involved terrorists in progress," Police said.

Singh was rushed to a hospital after gunmen fired shots at him in the Pombay Kamprim area of Kulgam district. Officials had earlier stated his condition to be "stable."

Meanwhile, the security forces have cordoned off the area and searches have been launched to nab the attackers.
