Central govt trying to divide people of Jammu and Kashmir, says Ramma Pandey

Film director Ramma Pandey, in an interview with ETV Bharat, critisized the central govt's decision to bifurcate the state into two. She opposed the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act 2019 and the abolition of statehood of Jammu and Kashmir.

Srinagar: Criticizing the central government over the bifurcation of the state, film director Ramma Pandey opposed the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act 2019 and the abolition of statehood of Jammu and Kashmir, saying that in this way the people of Jammu and Kashmir were in danger of being divided.

She said that she was deeply saddened that the political leaders of Jammu and Kashmir and the central government were responsible for what had happened.

Criticizing the central government, she said that Jammu and Kashmir was a beautiful state but now it has been divided into pieces. She said that the central government does not want to make a deal with the hearts of the people while it wants to make a deal with the land, which is wrong.
