At 12, Kashmiri boy Abdullah is the youngest to write 82 poems

A 12-year-old Kashmiri boy from the Chanapora area of Srinagar has had his poems published in the form of a book. Abdullah bin Zubair was inspired to write from a young age by his mother.

Srinagar: Abdullah bin Zubair, a 12-year-old Kashmiri boy is different from kids his age in more than one way as his poems have just been published in the form of a book.

In times like these, when children his age are more interested in mobile games and sports, Abdullah, who hails from the Chanapora area of Srinagar, is fond of writing poems in English at a tender age.

Due to his unique interest and talent, the poems written by Abdullah on different subjects can be now found in one place in the form of a book 'No Place for Good'.

Talking with ETV Bharat, Abdullah said that before writing about any topic, one should have knowledge about it and then only write about it in a better and meaningful way. "Writing requires good thinking in addition to a lot of reading and listening," he adds.

The 12-year-old boy was inspired to write from a young age by his mother. He started to write when he was just 8. Since then, he has used his poems to express his thoughts on different situations and surroundings around him. To date, Abdullah has written about 82 poems.

Abdullah's father is a doctor by profession while his mother is an Associate Professor at the University of Kashmir. Abdullah said that his parents have been a great influence on him and his writing.

Abdullah's parents expressed happiness at their son's achievement at such a young age and said that parents should pave the way for their children to fulfill their dreams so that they can have a better future and move forward in life.

Abdullah's younger brother wants to be a doctor but inspired by his older brother, he has also been writing columns for some time, and many of his writings have been published in local newspapers.
