Kullu faces another round of snowfall

Sudden fall in temperature led to heavy snowfall in Himachal Pradesh's Kullu-Manali, Lahaul and Spiti districts. IMD has predicted that the rain and snowfall will be remaining till January 30, 2020. Meanwhile, an overnight snowfall brings back the chilly weather across the state.

Kullu (Himachal Pradesh): Sudden fall in temperature on Monday ushered heavy snowfall in several parts of Himachal Pradesh including Kullu-Manali, Lahaul and Spiti districts.

Kullu faces another round of snowfall

An overnight snowfall brings back the chilly weather across the state. The area is covered in a thick blanket of snow. Vehicular movement was partially disrupted following the snowfall.

Most of the roads including NH-305 got blocked due to the heavy snowfall.

Besides this, it has brought normal life to a standstill as the roades have been covered with snow.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the rain and snowfall will be remaining till January 30 of this year in the higher areas.

Following this, an emergency alert has been declared by the district administration to the locals.

Besides this, the District administration gave an emergency number 1077 for the purpose the public welfare.
