Shimla: Three youth, all marriage-goers, were killed and two others injured, after the car in which they were travelling, fell in the Pabbar river in Himachal Pradesh's Shimla district, on Monday. Shimla district Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Gandhi confirmed the accident, which took place on late Monday night.
According to information received here, the accident took place when five youth were going for a wedding ceremony in an Alto car, from Rampur area to Jangla village within Jangla police station limits. When the car reached near the border of Rohru, its driver lost control of the vehicle, after which it fell into the Pabbar river. While three youth died on the spot, two others sustained injuries.

The deceased have been identified as Shrey Negi (18 years), son of Lekh Raj, and a resident of Karshli village, Shinwag (18 years), son of Roop Lal and a resident of Kul village and Jatir (20 years), son of Mani Lal and a resident of Dalash village, local police officials said. They added that Karun Chauhan (20 years), son of Tara Chand and resident of Gopalpur village, and Raman (22 Years), son of Raj Pal and resident of Basholi village, who sustained injuries are undergoing treatment at the civil hospital in Rohru.
Recently, five people including a woman and her son were killed and six others were injured in three separate accidents in Shimla and Una districts of Himachal Pradesh.
