Shimla (Himachal Pradesh): At least 27 people were injured after a private bus fell into a gorge in Himachal Pradesh's Kangra district on Monday, officials said.
The bus belonging to Tanmay Bus Service fell into the 200-ft deep gorge near Haren crusher barrier when it was on its way to Jawali from Patti, Kangra Superintendent of Police Vimukt Ranjan said.
"The exact number of injured persons is not yet known," Ranjan told a news agency.
However, according to a district revenue officer, 27 persons have been injured and taken to the civil hospital in Jawali.
Some people, who are seriously injured, are being shifted to the Tanda Medical college while some others are being shifted to Pathankot in Punjab, he added.
The cause behind the accident has not yet been ascertained, they added.
