Sonipat: Preparations are on to ensure peaceful and incident-free by-polls in Haryana's Baroda assembly constituency with the Election Commission increasing the number of election booths from 223 to 280.
The number of booths has been increased to contain the coronavirus pandemic, the official sources said.
All necessary security arrangements are also being made to ensure a peaceful election, they said, adding that a special facility would be created to keep an eye on people posting inciting speeches and other materials on various social media platforms.
The by-polls to Baroda seat, which had fallen vacant in April this year after the demise of Congress legislator Shri Krishan Hooda, will be held on November 3 and the votes will be counted on November 10.
