Haryana Police detained several people after some miscreants tried to disrupt the law and order situation in Ballabgarh on Sunday at National Highway 2, while a 'mahapanchayat' was underway over the murder of the 21-year-old woman.
As per Sumer Singh, DCP Haryana Police, permission was not taken by organisers to hold the 'mahapanchayat' in Ballabgarh.

Haryana: Locals in Haryana's Ballabhgarh today blocked National Highway 2, demanding justice for the 21-year-old Nikita who was murdered on October 26 outside her college in Haryana's Faridabad.
The murder had triggered large scale protests demanding death penalty to the accused.
Later, a 'mahapanchayat' was called by people of 36 communities in Ballabhgarh today to press for the demands.
The people, however, after the panchayat blocked the national highway after which police lathi-charged them.
The protestors also pelted stones at the police and vandalised many shops following which additional police forces were called in and deployed at the protest site.
The Haryana government has formed an SIT to probe the murder of Nikita Tomar, whose murder was recorded in CCTV.
