Chandigarh: Debates have started around the controversial statement of farmer leader Rakesh Tikait about the murder of a Hindu leader before the UP elections to pit Hindus against Muslims. Now, Haryana Education Minister Kanwarpal Gurjar slams Rakesh Tikait for his statement. He said Rakesh Tikait has spent his whole life pitting people against each other due to narrow mindedness. "Only such a man can make such statements," he said.
The Haryana Education Minister said that there is a BJP government in Uttar Pradesh for the last five years and there hasn't been a single riot in the state. The BJP government has shown a state like Uttar Pradesh can be riot-free and people like Tikait are not able to digest this. The minister further said the Tikait was also part of several political parties and the work of those parties were just to spread riots. However, BJP has put an end to these parties policies. He added that Tikait wants to spread disorder through this movement and it is his job. He is trying to create chaos.

Kanwarpal Gurjar said that Tikait has several ambitions in his mind, but we have told him earlier that people will give the right to their representatives to make laws for good of the country. The people have the biggest place in the country. People put their faith in us and voted us to power. It is clear that the people have chosen us to make laws. The minister asked Rakesh Tikait to contest elections and get elected to enact laws.

Earlier in the Sirsa district of Haryana, Rakesh Tikait, National Spokesperson of Bharatiya Kisan Union said that there is no party more dangerous than BJP. Giving a controversial statement, he said that before the UP assembly elections, a key Hindu leader can be murdered. He added that BJP wants to pit Hindus against Muslims to win the UP elections in 2022. Now, BJP leaders are attacking Tikait.
