Rohtak: Haryana's minister for home affairs and health Anij Vij has been moved to Medanta hospital in Gurugram from PGIMS hospital in Rohtak where he was admitted after he tested positive for COVID-19 infection. Earlier today, reports said the minister's health deteriorated and is suffering from moderate COVID-19 with bilateral viral pneumonia.
Earlier PGIMS hospital management said Vij was examined by a special medical board comprising a team of senior doctors of the Post-Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS), constituted by the institute's director Rohtas Yadav.
"In view of skigram (X-ray) finding and status of the pulmonary parameters, the committee (doctors) was of the opinion that he has moderate COVID-19 with bilateral viral pneumonia," the bulletin said.
Vij had earlier said that he had gone to Panipat few days prior to testing positive for coronavirus where he spent 2-3 hours with a BJP leader, who too had tested positive for COVID-19.
