Ahmedabad (Gujarat): A 30-year-old woman, a suspected Covid patient, died in Vatva, Ahmedabad after she was denied admission to three hospitals in the city on April 22.

The deceased woman developed Covid symptoms following which her husband dialed 108 and requested an ambulance. But was denied as no ambulance was available.

Instead of waiting for an ambulance, the husband put his wife in an autorickshaw and visited three hospitals. However, she was refused admission to all three hospitals as no ICU beds were available.

He, at last, rushed to Asarwa Civil's 1,200-bed hospital in Ahmedabad where she breathed her last waiting for the treatment.

The hospital authorities have, however, denied the allegations.

Night curfew in Andhra Pradesh from tonight

According to eyewitnesses, the woman's husband was trying his best to get her admitted to the hospital.

The woman could not be saved even though the hospital is equipped with modern facilities.
