New Delhi: Tension prevailed in Delhi's Hauz Quazi area after a clash broke out between the members of two communities over a two-wheeler parking space on Sunday night. Heavy security has been deployed in the area to avoid any untoward incident.
"Tensions arose between 2 groups from different communities after some altercation and scuffle escalated over a parking issue in Hauz Quazi. We have taken legal action and all efforts are being made to pacify feelings and bring about peace. People are requested to help in restoring normalcy," DCP Central Delhi tweeted.
The incident occurred when a man belonging to a certain community parked his two-wheeler close to a temple he was visiting in the Lal Kuan area, another man belonging to a different community objected to the act as he was supposed to put up his stall at the same spot.
The two men entered into a verbal spat which soon turned violent when members from a certain community started beating up the man who had parked his vehicle along with his father, who had arrived on the spot after receiving a call from his son.

The news of the clash spread like wildfire and members from both the communities gathered on the spot and raised religious slogans.
