New Delhi: Two men were arrested on Friday by customs officials at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) for allegedly trying to smuggle gold valuing more than Rs 20 lakh, an official said.
The accused were intercepted after their arrival from Riyadh, officials said.
Officers have recovered 4 gold bars from them, whose total weight is 406 grams.
The gold was seized under Section 110 of the Customs Act, 1962 and the accused was placed under arrest under Section 104 of the Customs Act, 1962.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
