Trouble for Jagdish Tytler as 1984 riots witnesses depose before court

Trouble seems to be mounting as the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) filed a case against Congress leader Jagdish Tytler for his involvement in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots case. Earlier, Sajjan Kumar was also convicted in this case while the case against Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath has been reopened by the SIT.

New Delhi: The Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) filed a case against Congress leader Jagdish Tytler for his involvement in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots case.

Earlier, Sajjan Kumar was also convicted in this case while the case against Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamalnath has been reopened by the SIT.

The Court issued a notice to CBI regarding the recording of statements of eyewitnesses. The DSGMC President Manjinder Singh Sirsa disclosed that the case was filed in the Rose Avenue court where two eyewitnesses Amarjit Singh and Harpal Kaur deposed before that judge. They told the court that they had seen Jagdish Tytler leading the mob and inciting the people to kill Sikhs. They also said that they were ready to record their statements under section 164.

Sirsa further disclosed that Honorable Judge has accepted their plea and the court issued a notice to CBI paving the way for delivery of justice to the victims after a long gap of 35 years. He said that now the DSGMC will also pursue this case and will ensure that Tytler is sent to jail for his role in the 1984 Sikh genocide.

The DSGMC president said that now the Sikh community will finally be relieved after 35 years as these guilty, facing the law of the land, will be sent to jail after being convicted by the court.

It is to be noted that during the tenure of UPA Government Tytler was given clean chit from the CBI in this case.

Earlier Sajjan Kumar was convicted while case against Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Kamalnath has been reopened by the SIT.

            The DSGMC President Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa disclosed that case was filed in the Rose Avenue court of Mr. Naveen Kashyap where two eyewitnesses Amarjit Singh and Harpal Kaur deposed before that judge and told the court that they had seen Jagdish Tytler leading the mob and inciting the people to kill Sikhs.  They said that they were ready to record their statements under section 164.

            Mr. Sirsa further disclosed that Honorable Judge has accepted their plea and the court issued notice to CBI paving way for delivery of justice to the victims after a long gap of 35 years.

He said that now the DSGMC will also pursue this case and will ensure that he is send to jail for his role in 1984 Sikh Genocide. He said that it is an old case in which during the tenure of UPA Government Tytler had already got clean chit from the CBI.

The DSGMC President said that it is only because of the Modi Government took charge at Centre and the Shiromani Akali Dal President Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal and Union Minister Mrs Harsimrat Kaur Badal pursued the cases against these influential Congress leaders who were acquitted by the CBI and other courts because of lack of evidence due to strong power of the Gandhi family. He said that now the Sikh community is finally relieved after 35 years that these guilty are now facing the law of the land will be sent to jail after conviction by the courts.Conclusion:
