New Delhi: Indian Railways on Monday said that the Oxygen Express to Delhi carrying 120 metric tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) is on its way from Durgapur, West Bengal. This train is carrying 6 oxygen tankers and will reach Tughlaqabad Railway Station on Tuesday at 9:30 am.
On Sunday, Delhi received its second Oxygen Express with 120 MT of LMO. While the first Oxygen Express to Delhi had transported 70 MT of oxygen. In addition to this, Telangana will receive its second Oxygen Express from Angul, Odisha carrying 60.23 MT of Liquid Medical Oxygen.
The Oxygen Express which started its journey from Aungul in Odisha with two oxygen tankers carrying 30.86MT of MLO is on its way to Delhi Cantonment.

Haryana will receive its fourth and fifth Oxygen Express carrying nearly 72 MT of oxygen each from Angul, and Rourkela in Odisha respectively. Another Oxygen Express with 85 MT is on its way from Hapa, Gujarat and reaching Gurgaon for delivery in the NCR region, Railways informed. Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh will also receive another set of Oxygen Express.

So far, Indian Railways has delivered 1125 MT (approx.) of LMO in 76 tankers to various states across the country. 20 Oxygen Express have already completed their journey, while 7 more loaded Oxygen Express are on the run carrying 422 MT (approx.) of LMO in 27 tankers. "It is Indian Railways endeavour to deliver as much LMO as possible in the shortest time possible to the requesting states," Railways said in a statement.
Out of the total 1125 metric tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO), Maharashtra has received 174 MT, Uttar Pradesh 430.51 MT, Madhya Pradesh 156.96 MT, Delhi 190 MT, Haryana 109.71 MT and Telangana 63.6 MT.
