New Delhi: In this technology-driven world, popular social media platforms help police reach the anti-social elements, criminals and terrorists. According to security experts, social media platforms play a significant role in tracking and reaching the wanted criminals or terrorists.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, retired ACP of Delhi Police Ved Bhushan said the social media platforms are a huge help for any police force in the world to reach the wanted.
"Delhi Police or any other police force of the country has a special cell, which tracks individuals and groups with suspicious activities on the social media platforms," he said, adding that after a point when it's proved that the person or a particular group is indulging in something highly suspicious, their bank accounts and other activities are tracked and they are arrested and questioned.
