New Delhi: Expressing concern over the huge loss of life due to coronavirus in India, Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Kumar Jain said people should take care as "it's a dangerous disease".
Interacting with ETV Bharat here, the minister said that people should wear masks and maintain all Covid-19 related norms, including social distancing.
"It's sad that we have crossed this grim mark of one lakh Covid-related deaths," he said.
India, after the US and Brazil, has become the third country in the world that has reported over a lakh fatalities due to Covid-19.
It took the country 204 days to reach the grim mark after first the case was reported. A 76-year-old man had succumbed to the coronavirus disease on March 13, becoming the first fatality.

Talking about Covid-19 situation in the national capital, he said the overall situation is improving but people must not take the virus lightly.
He said availability of beds is also improving and the strategy, which was prepared to deal with the increasing number of infected people after relaxation in lockdown, has also started showing results.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra continues to be the worst-hit with a total of 14,16,513 cases, including 37,480 deaths; followed by Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi.
