New Delhi/ Ghaziabad: Ghaziabad police on Sunday arrested a thief who was stealing people's houses to fulfil the wishes of his girlfriends. The thief identified as Irfan alias Ujala was using a Jaguar car worth Rs 1 crore bought through burglary. However, the accused is married, he is having ten girlfriends.
Surprisingly the initial investigation revealed that the accused has robbed the houses adjacent to the Goa Governor' and a judge as well.
Police have also recovered stolen goods worth crores of rupees, two-vehicles including a Jaguar car worth Rs 1 crore from his possession. Apart from this, diamond jewellery and gems have also been seized from him.
According to information, the robber used to steal houses alone. After stealing, he used take the booty in a high-end car.
The accused also had good knowledge of jewellery and vehicles as he did not steal fake jewellery found at the houses. After usurping the car, the accused used to sell its parts separately.
Police said, "the accused has confessed to his crime. He has committed burglaries in states like Goa, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Telangana, Maharashtra and Gujarat. He is connected 25 cases so far. All the state police have been alerted."
Earlier, the Ghaziabad police have had arrested Irfan's wife and one of his girlfriends for allegedly aiding him.
