New Delhi: The LS poll schedule announced by the Election Commission of India (ECI) has garnered unwanted attention owing to a wide range of issues, with the prominent one being the dates coinciding with the holy month of Ramzan.
As Ramzan will start from 7th May and the election will commence in Delhi on May 12, people of the nation capital are speculating that the step was taken to reduce the Muslim votes, which will directly help Modi government.
National spokesperson of AAP, Sanjay Singh and AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan has reacted over the dates of elections and calling it a conspiracy.
"Election Commission is spending crores over voting advertisment but on the other side, they are phase 3 election in the holy month of Ramzan to reduce Muslim voters," said Sanjay Singh targeting Election Commission.
