New Delhi: Taking a jibe at former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh over his 'saffron-clad rapist' remark, Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar on Thursday said that even Congress party doesn't take him seriously.
"Now even Congress party doesn't give much importance to him, then why do we need to react? We have seen his mentality after the Mumbai attacks, and since then he has been making such statements," the Union Minister said interacting with media persons here.
Earlier in the day reacting to the comment of its leader, Congress said colour of one's dress or religion does not make him or her a criminal.
Last week, addressing a function in Bhopal the senior Congress leader said that some people wearing saffron robes are involved in rape cases.
