New Delhi: The yesteryear heartthrob Dharmendra, who joined people criticising his wife and actoress Hema Malini for participating in a cleanliness drive at Parliament last week, said on Wednesday that he would "never speak about broom".

"Ek paigam toh hai. Keep your Country Clean. Hema ke paigam par amal karo. My humble request to you all, feel from your soul for our New India," he tweeted, asking people to keep the country clean.
He said people should praise the noble message of cleanliness propagated by his wife and try to imbibe it in their lives.

Dharmendra, who also claimed that he helped his mother with household chores during his childhood days, was praised by Twitteratis for his honest answer.

The 83-year-old actor, who had accompanied his tweet with green leaves emoticons saying "I love cleanliness", today said that he would never speak about it.

Many, including former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah, had criticised the dream girl for the act.
