Intro:New Delhi: The Communist Party of India (CPI) on Friday hailed Supreme Court's judgement over restrictions imposed in J&K by the government.

Body:Welcoming the order, senior CPI leader Dr BK Kango told ETV Bharat that the decision was anticipated.

"Ever since Article 370 was withdrawn, lots of restrictions were imposed in the valley. Whether it is movements of people, political leader and even internet...there were restrictions everywhere," said Dr Kango.

He said that Government is answerable to the people.

"The government will now answer to the court which means government is answering to the people because people approach Supreme Court whenever government don't respond to anybody," said Dr Kango.

Conclusion:Taking up the matter seriously, the Suprme Court on Friday has asked the government to come with reports and documents showing the reason for imposing restrictions on internet in the valley.

The apex court has given seven days time to the government.
