New Delhi:The Election Commission of India (ECI) has seized cash and items worth at least Rs 340.7 crore as of on Monday since it started publishing daily seizure reports on March 26 ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.
Apart from this, law enforcement agencies have seized liquor worth Rs 68.71 lakh from across the country – including states where alcohol is banned – since the Model Code of Conduct came into effect on March 10.

The agencies have also seized roughly Rs 692 crore worth of drug and narcotics and Rs 255 crore worth of 'precious metals', including Gold and silver.
In the latest report, the highest amount Rs 108 crore was seized from the state of Tamil Nadu followed by Andra Pradeshat Rs 95.79 crore worth of cash.
