Now, Prof. PC Joshi will take over as the Vice-Chancellor of the University as per the orders issued by the Ministry of Education today.

Prof. Yogesh Tyagi had been on medical leave since the first week of July and had not attended office since then. However, he ordered a replacement of registrar, Pro VC and Director of South Campus resulting in a difference between the two factions active in the University administration. The Ministry of Education had nullified Tyagi's orders last week saying that he was not authorised to practice his powers without formally joining the office.
