Delhi violence: Pistol recovered from Shahrukh's home

The pistol brandished at a policeman by Shahrukh, who had fired a few rounds in the air during Delhi riots last month, has been recovered by Crime Branch.

New Delhi: The Special Investigation Team of Delhi Police crime branch recovered the pistol of Shahrukh, that he used to point at the policemen during riots in the national capital, source said on Friday.

Shahrukh fired rounds using the recovered pistol during violence in Delhi's Maujpur.

The Crime Branch also recovered three rounds along with the gun from Shahrukh's house in Delhi. Apart from these, the Crime Branch also recovered one of Shahrukh's mobile phones.

Shahrukh, whose photos of firing shots at police using a country-made pistol on February 24 went viral, was arrested by the Delhi Police Crime Branch on Tuesday morning in Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh.

Currently, Shahrukh is on police remand and the recovery was made on the basis of information he provided to the police.
