New Delhi: Delhi Police on Friday said efforts were on to persuade anti-CAA protesters at Shaheen Bagh here to clear the road that link the national capital with Noida.
"We have been talking to the protesters urging them to clear the road," DCP (south-east) R P Meena told media persons here.
He said the Supreme Court order was also shown to the protesters.
The police official said that they have right to protest but they should not block the road as it creates problems for thousands others who use it to commute between the two cities.
He also expressed hope that the protesters would understand the point and the road would be cleared soon.
Last week, the apex court appointed interlocutors to convince people, who have been agitating against the recently amended citizenship law.
