Delhi Police helps man to celebrate his 100th birthday

In an impressive gesture, the Delhi Police has helped a woman celebrate her father's 100th birthday. DCP (North-West) Vijayanta Arya ensured that the family, which had applied for a pass to arrange things for the occasion, gets everything needed. In a surprising move, the police joined the family with a birthday cake.

New Delhi: Delhi Police, with changed nature of policing during the on-going lockdown, has been primarily ensuring implementation of restrictions and that the people in need are helped.

There have been numerous cases, ever since the lockdown was imposed to curb coronavirus, wherein the city police helped the citizens in various ways. The acts underline the fact of how friendly the force could get to reach out to those in need.
The police have been attending to elderly people by providing them with required medicines and some times just reassuring them that they are not alone and the police personnel would come to their residence as and when needed for any help. Also, they have been helping students from other states staying alone in the city.

In one more such incident, DCP (North-West) Vijayanta Arya helped a family celebrate the birthday of its oldest member - a hundred-year-old man.

As the officer came to know that a woman wanted to celebrate her father's 100th birthday and had applied for a pass in order to make necessary arrangements for the same, she asked her subordinates to help the family.

Station House Officer of Subhash Place Amit Kumar reached the family with a decorated birthday cake. The family was really happy to see police personnel with the cake at their doorsteps. They then expressed gratitude towards the police officials and the man, who celebrated his 100th birthday, made a video call to thank them.
