New Delhi: With Delhi reporting 3372 new cases of corona in last 24 days and only 3827 cases on the previous day, the state Health Minister Satyendra Jain said the spread of corona has slowed down in the state. He also added that for the past one week, corona cases in Delhi have been coming down by four thousand every day.

Talking to the media, Jain said that the rate of corona infection in Delhi has come down to 6.5 per cent.

He also pointed out that the number of patients in corona care hospitals have also started reducing and that right now 6840 people are admitted to Corona hospitals, whereas this number was 7100, four-five days ago.

107 containment zones

Significantly, the number of containment zones in Delhi has increased to 2231 with 107 new hot spots being identified in the last 24 hours.

Satyendra Jain talking about the issue said that according to their strategy, the state has doubled the corona testing and whatever positive cases are coming, we are isolating them by creating small content zones. So the number is increasing.

'Markets can not become hot spots'

Denying that crowded markets of Delhi are becoming the hotspots, Jain said, "people do not live in the market, they come from residential areas, in such a market cannot become a hot spot."

'50 days is doubling rate'

Claiming that the corona doubling rate in the state is 50 days now, Jain said it is only due to the strategies adopted by the Delhi government.

"We brought the corona testing happening every day to 60 thousand and it was a big change," he said.

Jain also said that wherever more cases of the corona were reported, the slowdown has started. The infection rate is also decreasing.
