New Delhi: A Bharatiya Janata Party leader died allegedly after shooting himself on Wednesday. The deceased Naveen Jain, a resident of City Kotwali in Ghaziabad, left behind a suicide note where he narrated the reason for his suicide.
In the note, Naveen has criticised his brothers and sister for allegedly mentally torturing him, and cited it to be the reason behind his extreme step.
Sources said that Naveen had a property dispute with his siblings. He also mentioned in the note that his son should not be disturbed regarding the concerned matter.
SP (City) Shlok Kumar said that an investigation in the matter is underway. "Information is being collected from the family members. The suicide note has been sent to the forensic lab. Those who are being accused will be interrogated and appropriate actions will be taken after the investigation," he said.
The victim's body has been sent for the post-mortem.
