11 tested positive for Coronavirus hotspot Sangam Vihar in Delhi

After a family member from Sangam Vihar in Delhi tested positive for Coronavirus his family and tenants were also reported positive on Monday. From these 11 people, five members are from the same family and six people are tenants. Identification of 20 people who came in the contact has been started to put them under quarantine.

New Delhi: Delhi's Sangam Vihar area has reported 11 new positive cases of Coronavirus on Monday.

In Sangam Vihar, 11 people were tested positive for Coronavirus after a member of a family got infected some days before.

From these 11 people, five members are from the same family and six people are tenants. Identification of 20 people who came in the contact has been started to put them under quarantine.

Samples of a 28-year-old man who is a fruits seller in Greater Kailash were taken three days earlier and his report was positive for the virus and he was admitted to the LNJP hospital.

On the same day, samples of all the 11 members living in his house were taken and on Monday they all reported positive.

According to the information, a 28-year-old youth living in Sangam Vihar street number 17 used to sell fruits in Greater Kailash. From a few days he was suffering from cold and cough but he didn't visit to doctor. One day he suddenly had trouble while breathing then he went to Safdarjung Hospital and brought medicines. Despite Coronavirus symptoms, he was not tested for the virus and was sent home without it.

On April 30 he called the ambulance when his medical condition got worse and was rushed to LNJP Hospital where he tested Coronavirus positive.
