Raipur: A transgender was arrested on Friday in Bilaspur district of Chattisgarh on charges of sexually abusing and blackmailing a minor, an official said.
The accused has been identified as Lovely Verma. According to the police, the transgender sexually assaulted the minor and filmed it. "Lovely Verma kept blackmailing the minor in order to extract money from him. His mobile phone has been confiscated and the video in question has also been secured," a cop said.

He also added that a case has been registered and the probe is underway.
In a similar incident in another region of the same district, a young boy committed suicide to avoid embarrassment.
