Bilaspur: The third accused in the Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader, Nirmal Kundu's murder case was arrested from here on Saturday.
TMC leader Nirmal Kundu was shot dead by three bike-borne assailants in North Kolkata’s Dum Dum area. After the incident, the accused Sudeep Das had gone into hiding in Bilaspur, from where the Bengal CID team arrested him.
The team led by Kolkata CID in-charge Anupam Chakraborty with the help of Sarkanda TI Santosh Jain and his team, arrested the culprit from his friend's house in Bilaspur's Chilotti village.
The accused will be produced before the Bilaspur court and then the Kolkata CID team will take him on transit remand to Kolkata.
Sudeep Das along with Suman Kundu, Sanjay Das and Sujas Das are accused of murdering the TMC leader on June 4.
