Chhattisgarh: A four-year-old girl child who was a witness to the gruesome killing of her mother by none other than her drunkard father in a remote village of Chhattisgarh is now scared of going to her house. Sadly the poor child lost her parents on May 12 when the world celebrated International Mother's Day.
The couple were found dead in their home in Mahasamund district of Chhattisgarh.
According to the reports, the husband, a chronic alcoholic killed his wife prior to hanging himself to death.
Before the incident, they had a heated argument and the mother asked her 4-year-old daughter to leave the room but she did not.
According to the police, arguments and fights between the couple were order of the day for the husband's drinking habit.
"The elder daughter was not present during the incident. The younger one tried to save her mother and stop her father. In the meantime, the father tried to suppress the girl's throat," the police said.
The daughter, terrified by the gruesome incident, is staying with her relative in the same neighbourhood and says that she is afraid to go back to her home, where the murder took place.
The villagers claim that there was often a fight between the late husband and wife.
