Verdict in sensational Mishra murder case on April 9

Billionaire businessman Abhishek Mishra was the director of the Shankara Group of Colleges in Chhattisgarh. He was murdered by his former lover in 2015 and the case ran for five years.

Durg: A court in Durg in Chhattisgarh will announce its verdict in the sensational murder case of billionaire businessman Abhishek Mishra on April 9. Mishra was killed by his ex-lover, her husband and uncle.

The abduction of Abhishek Mishra, the only son of IP Mishra, chairman of Shankaracharya Engineering College in Bhilai during the cosy winter season of November, spread around the country like wildfire. On 9 November 2015, Abhishek left his house for some errands. He did not return home for quite some time. His family members started to get anxious and frantic. Calls were made to multiple places for information.

Family restless, police upset

When Abhishek did not return on November 10, the police were informed about it. In addition to the Durg-Bhilai police, police in all the nearby districts were alerted regarding this matter which was related to a high profile family. A dozen police teams visited several states in search of Abhishek. Kidnapping for ransom was ruled out by the police since time passed and Abhishek's family did not get any kind of a demand call. The police were also constantly working on every input from call details, but no concrete lead was found.

Police kept wandering in search for strong evidence

Slowly one week and then, two weeks passed. The patience of the family began to waver and everybody was sure that something really terrible had happened. After probing the business, extortion and ransom angles, police started turning some pages in Abhishek's personal life. While searching for mobile call details, some clues were found, but no strong evidence was visible.

Abhishek's body found after 44 days

Finally, 44 days after the incident, the police detained two persons named Vikas Jain and Ajit Singh on the basis of suspicion. In the long questioning, both of them confessed to killing Abhishek. The next day, Abhishek's corpse was recovered from the garden of a house in Smriti Nagar.

After Abhishek was killed, he was buried in the garden of a house in Smriti Nagar. This incident was carried out in such a vicious manner that people believed it actually looked like the script of a film. Before Abhishek’s murder, a place was dug in the garden for his body and after burying him, they planted cauliflower plants on the grave, so that no one could be suspicious.

The insistence to continue the affair after marriage became the cause of murder

In this incident, angles of love, sex and deception are included. Actually, a woman named Kimsey Jain used to work in Abhishek's engineering college a few years back. During this period, Abhishek and Kimsi became closer to each other. But in the meantime, Kimsey got married to Vikas Jain and left her job in the Shankaracharya College but Abhishek kept pressuring Kimsey to continue their relationship with him, despite being married.

Vegetables were planted in the place the body was buried

Fed up with the pressure of having a relationship, Kimsey along with her husband Vikas and relative Ajit, planned to murder Abhishek and end the drama.

Under the same plot, on the evening of November 9, Kimsey called Abhishek and asked him to come to Smriti Nagar. Vikas and Ajit, already present there, attacked Abhishek mercilessly by hitting him with a rod, and then his body was buried in the garden.

The police identified Abhishek Mishra's body from his bracelet, ring and locket. A DNA test was also conducted.

Shankara Group of College Director, Abhishek Mishra's murder case ran from November 9 to December 2015. After this, Kimsey Jain, her husband Vikas Jain and father-in-law Ajit were arrested. After the arrest of the accused, the matter was investigated continuously and after the investigation was completed, it was presented in the Durg Court. This case was going on in the Durg District Court for about 5 years and the court is set to give its verdict on April 9.
