Mungeli: Four people, including three from a family, who were on their way to Raipur from Bilaspur, were killed and two others injured in a road accident here as their car collided with a stationary truck while trying to avoid hitting a pedestrian, sources said.
The incident took place near Sargaon police post while the family was returning home after fixing a matrimonial match.
It was learnt that the driver of the car lost control while trying to save the pedestrian and the vehicle hit the stationary truck. The pedestrian and three people travelling in the car have died while the injured are being treated in a nearby hospital, they said.
