3 COVID19-infected women give birth to healthy children in Chhattisgarh

Three COVID-19 positive women gave birth to three healthy and infection-free children in Chhattisgarh's Kawardha. The mother and the children are healthy and stated to be out of danger.

Kawardha (Chhattisgarh): Three coronavirus positive women have given birth to their babies at a Covid Care Center in Chhattisgarh's Kawardha district on Sunday.

The official sources said that the babies are "healthy and doing well as of now". The babies are not with their mothers as there is a fear of the spread of the virus.

The trio had tested positive for COVID-19 after they showed mild symptoms of the disease. The three women admitted to this Covid Care Centre three days ago complained of labour pain and on Sunday, they gave birth to their babies at DHH later.

"We are not keeping babies with their mothers due to the fear of virus spread and immediately transferred them of an ICU of district headquarters hospital. All are in good condition and healthy," a doctor said.

"The mothers and the children are healthy and stated to be out of danger as of now," the doctor added.
