Patna: Diamond heists by thieves are common and do make headlines but in Patna, the victims of a diamond theft are at loss to explain how it happened in their shop and who they caught on camera stealing from their jewelry store. This curious case of theft happened at Navratan Jewellers situated at Boring road in Patna.
The owner of the store Dheeraj noticed the missing earrings and in panic kept asking his staff as to whether they had misplaced it. He along with the staff searched the store and couldn't find it. According to Dheeraj, " I kept the earrings over the slab before leaving for home at night, and when I returned to shop the next morning, the earrings were missing.
I asked my employees about the earrings but they had no clue regarding the matter." A worried Dheeraj decided to take a look at the CCTV footage available at the store. He knew that if there was a break-in into his store, he will be able to trace the person who would have carried out with the theft.
However, as the footage rolled, Dheeraj was in for a surprise. Expecting an intruder, Dheeraj was surprised to find that a rodent was nibbling at the pouch that had the earrings. Later the rat is seen taking the pouch away. Dheeraj realized after seeing the footage that it was the rodent who was behind the theft.
Did it bother him? Surprisingly no. Since it happened on Mahashivratri, Dheeraj had this to say,' On inspecting the CCTV footage, it was revealed that the rat had taken away the earrings. Surprisingly, this happened on the 'Shivratri' night. I think, Lord Shiva sent his messenger and took away the rings for gifting it to 'Mata Parvati'.
I have no issue with this." It takes some spirituality to part with something precious and as of now since there is no complaint from his side, well the police seems to be out of the matter completely.
