New Delhi: Ahead of Bihar Assembly polls, Loktantrik Janata Dal (LJD) chief Sharad Yadav’s daughter Subhashini Yadav and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) leader Kali Pandey joined the Congress party here.
Bihar Congress chief Madan Mohan Jha, his deputy Ajay Kapoor, party's Rajya Sabha MP and chairman of the Congress campaigning committee Akhilesh Singh and many other leaders were present on the occasion.
Subhashini Yadav may contest Bihar polls from Bihariganj assembly seat, which falls under Madhepura from where her father was elected to parliament several times.

Pandey will contest from Kuchaikote. He has already filed his nomination papers as a Congress candidate.
Many more leaders from Bihar are could join the Congress in the days to come.
In Bihar, Congress, CPI, CPM are part of the “Mahagathbandhan” (grand alliance) under the leadership of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).
Bihar with 243 Assembly seats will go to polls in three phases - October 28, November 3 and November 7. The results will be announced on November 10.
