Patna: Despite the Central as well as state government’s strict guidelines directing people to adhere to social distancing norms to combat the COVID-19 threat, passengers at Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport in Patna were seen flouting the norms.
Passengers travelling from Patna to other states did not follow social distancing and were seen standing in close proximity to each other. The same was seen with the passengers coming from different states to Patna.
Even the family members of the passengers standing outside of the airport were seen not following the guidelines. Such irresponsible attitude is a matter of great concern amind the rising numbers of coronavirus cases in the state.
After seeing a continuous surge in the COVID cases in the state, the government has extended the ongoing lockdown in the state till 6 September.
Meanwhile, the number of Covid-19 cases in Bihar climbed up to 1,04,093 with 2,187 fresh cases reported in the past 24 hours.
