Siwan: Three masked men robbed cash and jewellery from the house of a police constable in Bihar's Siwan district.
The incident took place under the Siwan police station limits on the intervening night of Monday-Tuesday.
According to the police, the victim said that more than a dozen armed robbers entered the house and demanded jewels and cash at gunpoint from the women (residing in the house).
When they refused, the robbers thrashed the women and looted jewellery worth Rs 5.40 lakh and cash of Rs 40000.
Siwan Police Station Officer-in-Charge Rambalak Yadav reached the spot and gathered information about the incident.
Yadav further said that criminals were being identified and a probe into the matter is underway.
