RJD-JDU poster war continues ahead of Assembly polls in Bihar

Ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, Lalu Prasad Yadav led RJD put up a poster which described that the ruling JDU government is indulging in corruption and has lied to the people. It has an image of CM Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Sushil Kumar Modi with a tagline of Trouble engine destroying Bihar. No response from JDU has come yet.

RJD-JDU poster war continues ahead of Assembly polls in Bihar

Patna (Bihar): Ahead of the Bihar Vidhan Sabha elections, the RJD-JDU poster war has escalated in the state.

On Thursday morning, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD)-led by Lalu Prasad Yadav put up a poster with a tagline - 'Trouble engine destroying Bihar' in Hindi.

The poster has allegations by the RJD that the ruling government is indulging in corruption and has lied to the people.

It has an image of CM Nitish Kumar on the left and Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Sushil Kumar Modi on the right.

There has been no response from Janata Dal (United) (JDU) so far.

On January 2, a poster comparing the 15 years governance of RJD and JD-U was seen outside the Income Tax intersection in Patna.

Bihar is scheduled to go to Assembly polls in October this year.

In a heart-rending incident, two children aged 3 and 8 years were charred to death at Wireless area in Guwahati. The Kids identified as Ishan Goswami (8) and Ibon Goswami (3) were students of Srimanta Sankardev Academy, Dispur. The younger Child Ishan Goswami was supposed to celebrate his birthday today. The incident took place at Wireless Beltola’s Bylane No 1 in a two-storey house at around 12:00 Noon. Both the children were playing on the first floor of the house while their mother and grandmother were on the ground floor when the fire broke out in the house. The deceased have been taken to Guwahati Medical College and Hospital.



“Both kids were playing on the first floor of their home when the house caught fire,” locals informed. Locals alleged that fire fighters reached the spot late for which the fire could not be doused on time, which led to the sad demise of the two kids. Fire officials, however, dismissed the allegations and said they reached the spot as soon as they received the news about the fire. Their father, Tushar Goswami, is a geologist and presently out of Guwahati and their mother Shilpi Goswami was working in the campus when the fire broke out.



Meanwhile, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal offered his condolences and directed Kamrup (Metropolitan) Deputy Commissioner to conduct an enquiry into the matter.
