New Delhi: Bihar Congress president Madan Mohan Jha, Congress Bihar in-charge Shaktisinh Gohil along with Rajya Sabha MP Akhilesh Singh were present at the Congress Chief's residence when rebel BJP leader, Shatrughan Sinha met the party chief on Thursday. Initial reports suggested that Sinha would join the party today, however, he denied them saying, "I will join Congress on Navratri, in an auspicious timing."
Speaking to ETV Bharat, Rajya Sabha MP Akhilesh Singh cleared the air by saying that the grand alliance between RJD-Congress will remain intact and there is no row on seat-sharing between the two.
He clarified that all matters have been resolved and the alliance is united.
Congress will contest in nine seats from Bihar and Sinha also said that whatever be the situation, he will definitely contest the upcoming elections from the Patna Sahib constituency.
The Lok Sabha elections will begin from April 11 and conclude on May 19th. Counting is scheduled to take place on May 23.
Bihar, consisting of 40 constituencies will vote in all the seven phases.
