Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prashad Yadav on Tuesday took a jibe at the Bihar government without taking its name over the ban imposed on selling and buying liquor in the state. His statement landed as some empty liquor bottle recovered near the CM Secretariat, Deshratana Marg in the state capital, where CM Nitish Kumar held a review meeting on the liquor prohibition.

RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, while tweeting the news of ETV Bharat (which shows the empty bottle of liquor near the CM meeting venue on Tuesday), targeted the government and wrote that 'Show the mirror to the face, then blame the mirror itself' (roughly translated).

When CM was asked questions about the incident, he was seen fuming. Nitish Kumar, who has always talked about zero tolerance, recently said that action is being taken against those who are found to be involved in this. Sometimes he was seen appealing to the journalists and sometimes to the opposition to give information about the liquor mafia.

CM held a review meeting on Tuesday after more than 40 people died due to the consumption of spurious liquor in the state recently.
