I'm always with JD(U), despite daughter's political debut: Binod Choudhary

Talking to ETV Bharat on the political debut of daughter Pushpam Priya Choudhary, JD(U) leader Binod Choudhary said he was not aware about his daughter's political party and advertisement in the newspaper. Pushpam Priya Choudhary announced on March 8 about the formation of the political party 'Plurals' and herself the chief ministerial candidate of her party.

Darbhanga (Bihar): After Pushpam Priya Choudhary declared herself as chief ministerial candidate for the 2020 Bihar Assembly elections, Janata Dal (United) leader Binod Choudhary clarified that he still supports Nitish Kumar and blessed his daughter for her future endeavour.

Speaking to ETV Bharat, the JDU leader said: "I was also not aware about her political debut. One of my friends called me and informed about the advertisement in the newspaper."

Citing an example of Gwalior Maharani Vijaya Raje Scindia of BJP and her son Madharao Scindia of Congress, he said that individuals can have different thoughts.

Explaining about his daughter's inclination towards Bihar, Vinod said: "Pushpam visited different palaces in Darbhanga and was upset after seeing the development works carried out by Darbhanga Maharaj were closed. Pushpam said she wants to do something in the interest of Bihar."

JDU leader said that Puspham is working hard in carrying out her campaign in the state from last one year.

Clarifying speculations of supporting his daughter, Binod said: "I am part of JD(U) until and unless CM Nitish Kumar suspends me from the party. I have immense respect for him and this will never be an obstacle in my commitment towards JD(U)."

Commenting on MLC Dilip Chaudhary being an hindrance in the upcoming elections, JD(U) leader said: "I will fight elections and I have even informed CM Nitish Kumar that I want to fight Bihar election 2020 and for that I need his support."
