Gaya: Bihar Police recovered drugs worth Rs30 million and arrested three miscreants allegedly involved in drug trafficking. The arrests were made after a raid in Manpur Tafsili police station area following a tip-off, the police said.
Senior Superintendent of Police Aditya Kumar said a special police team led by City Superintendent of Police Rakesh Kumar was formed to conduct raids. Kumar added that 2.2 kilograms of drugs were recovered. The accused were planning to supply the drugs to places, including Gaya.
Police sources said the accused have revealed an influential person's name in connection with the drug smuggling. However, the key accused in the case is absconding, and the police claimed they will nab the person soon.
Police arrived at the spot in civil dress and when the smugglers recognised the police they attempted to escape.
