After the birth of her three children, she applied for the post of Home Guard. It's better late than never for Renu, who recalled the time when his elder son, who has a child now, was still young.
In these 14 years, Renu has dutifully completed her family responsibilities. Renu Devi said she has cracked the exam and completed the training as well. "Finally, my dream of wearing a Home Guard uniform has come true. I'm very happy, " Renu said sitting at her Bagh Dulhan Mohalla in Hajipur. As many as 240 people were offered appointment letters for Home Guard jobs in the state. When asked about the delay in offering her job, Ashok Kumar, DSP Home Guard, Hajipur, said, "After applications for the Home Guard jobs were invited, all the preliminary procedures were completed and sent from the district. Due to the delay in the roster, there was a delay in the process."
