Patna (Bihar): With incessant rains in the region resulting in water logging in many areas of Patna, the residences of the State Road Construction Minister, Nand Kishore Yadav and Agriculture Minister Dr Prem Kumar submerged into the water.
Every year, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar led Bihar government has been promising of deploying adequate machinery on the ground in order to deal with the situation but the recent monsoonal rain has exposed all their arrangements.
Low-lying areas such as Kankarbagh, Bhoot Bangla, Bazar Samiti and Mahendru have already been submerged into the water for the last 10 days.

Though the state government has promised to install the dewatering machines in the low- lying areas before the arrival of the monsoon but the recent development exhibit the preparedness of the government.
As per the weather forecasting report by India Meteorological Department, Patna will receive more rainfall for the next few days accompanied by thunderstorms.
As per the reports, over 200 people had lost their lives and over lakhs of the people had lost their houses in the last year flood.
