Patna (Bihar): Veteran politician and former Union Minister Yashwant Sinha on Saturday announced the formation of a new political front in Bihar, which is scheduled to go to polls later this year.

Sinha made the announcement while addressing a press conference in Patna today. Accompanying him were former Bihar ministers Narendra Singh, Renu Kushwaha, and former MPs Arun Kumar and Devendra Prasad Yadav among others.

Sinha said that he wanted to dedicate himself to bring change in Bihar, and will hold frequent interactions with the press in the coming days.

Lashing out at the Nitish government, Sinha said that the per capita income in Bihar was much lower than the national average. Further, close to 40 lakh labourers migrate from Bihar to other states for work every year, and even the situation of farmers is pitiable, the former BJP leader said.

Sinha expressed that the leaders with him will form a successful front with the motto of Behtar Bihar (better Bihar) and will oust the present government.

  • The media interaction went off very well today. Behtar Bihar is an andolan which we have to take forward. I seek your support and cooperation. Bihar must rise above petty considerations to make a Behtar Bihar.
